Join us for a glimpse into the world of valuations and appraisals in Part 1 of a 3-part series in conjunction with AAREP DC and ULI Washington. Panelists will discuss the nuts and bolts of appraisals from both the business and human side. Topics to be covered include various methodologies to determine value and how appraisals are utilized in the industry, followed by a frank discussion on how the appraisal industry and the professionals operating within the valuation space can impact the report, it’s end users, and the overall deal. The panel will speak to challenges the appraisal industry faces and how equity issues in valuations may affect developers, lenders, and other consumers. The event will conclude with a vision for the future of the appraisal industry.
