Throughout my career, I have empowered historically excluded populations. As Founder and CEO of LocalCode Kansas City, I have combined the skills I developed in each of my prior positions to redirect wealth back into my community through commercial real estate development. As a leader, each decision I make has multiple positive impacts on the neighborhoods my teams and I serve. I am many things, but most importantly, a wife, mother of four, business owner, and resident of the urban core. I look forward to leveraging resources to positively impact as many vulnerable groups as possible. 

Jonathan Arnold
Arnold Development Group

Jonathan is a leader in the field of sustainable and socially responsible real estate development. He is the president and CEO of the Arnold Development Group, a full service real estate development and investment firm and certified B-Corporation that specializes in creating large scale mixed-use green districts in transit oriented urban infill locations. 

Jonathan is also the founder of Arnold Imaging, a leading real estate marketing consulting firm through which he has successfully helped design, market and develop more than $6 billion in commercial real estate, including more than 40 continuing care retirement communities, 2,500 apartment units, and more than two dozen large scale mixed-use urban infill developments.

He holds a degree in architecture from Cornell University and a masters degree in real estate development from Columbia University. 

Camille Christie
VP of Development and Leasing, West Star Development

Through her career as both a Broker and Developer, Camille has gained a broad comprehension of real estate investment and asset management. As acting VP of Development at West Star Development, she oversees all aspects of the development process from land entitlements, liaising plans through municipalities regulatory, planning and zoning procedures, navigating incentives, commercial debt and structured financing, construction management and delivering on time projects within budget. 

With nearly 10 years in the industry, Camille has transacted more than $415MMin her commercial real estate career. Prior to her development role she was a broker in North and South Carolina, specializing in transactional retail leasing and sales. Her key clients included: Fifth Third Bank, Massage Envy, FastMed, Rite Aid, Abbott’s Frozen Custard, and more. 

Camille is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, where she graduated magna cum laude from the honors program with her Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and Minor in Spanish Language-while playing as a center midfielder on the Women’s Soccer team. 

Camille lives in Fairway, KS with her husband Colin and their two Australian Shepards! In her free time, she enjoys snow skiing, wake surfing, hiking, hunting, and traveling with her friends and family

Mike Berenbom
Managing Partner, LANE4 Group

As Managing Partner and one of the firm’s top producers, Mike oversees LANE4’s business endeavors and investment portfolio. He focuses on growing the firm’s relationships with investors, community leaders, and professional partners, identifying and advancing the long-term goals of the company, while also continuing to facilitate his own deals and projects for his clients. 

In his tenure, Michael has been personally responsible for the acquisition of LANE4 projects and third-party investment sales totaling over $350 million. He has been instrumental in many of LANE4’s most prominent projects, including the acquisition of Hawthorne Plaza, redevelopment of 95Metcalf South (formerly Metcalf South Mall), and the development of the Downtown Olathe Library. He works to cultivate new equity and debt partners, both nationally and regionally and has a proven track record of successful asset management, investment brokerage, and equity procurement.

Before joining the LANE4 team in 2013, Michael served as Vice President of Asset Management for Lincoln Property Company in Chicago, Illinois, where he was responsible for a nationwide portfolio of Class A office properties totaling over $800 million.

Katie Martinovic (Moderator)
Principal Landscape Architect and Vice President, NSPJ Architects

As the Principal Landscape Architect, Katie leads many of the projects at NSPJ, guiding our Architecture &Landscape Architecture team in collaboration to provide a high level of quality & service for our clients. She has had the opportunity to contribute to all kinds of developments throughout Kansas City including multi-family, mixed use, and large scale land plans.

I am inspired by exploring new places and cultures and strive to bring a resort style feel to a diverse portfolio of projects. My family and travel motivate me to design communities that feel like home
